I've had the opportunity to go to the Washington DC area the last two years and here are my favorites of the leaves changing. In Alaska, leaf peeping happens in a short window with the changing colors and the shedding happening in a 2-4 week period. On the East Coast, it's a much longer process. For example, the pictures in Rock Creek Park were taken around Halloween and the Arlington pictures were taken in the first week of December. Maybe next year I'll get out to the Shenandoah area!
